Maxwell kicks off first-ever arena tour
Maxwell has been rehearsing in Toronto for the past two weeks for his first-ever arena tour. All that hard work finally came to fruition when he took the stage with U2 last night at the Air Canada Centre. Prior to that, Maxwell met front man Bono when they shared a car mix-up at New York City’s Hit Factory.
“I got the call that he wanted to meet me. We had already met. We met in New York City one time. He thought one of my cars was his. He was trying to get into my car. I had a car, a Mercedes, outside, and he thought it was his car. It was the funniest thing because he remembered. He was like, ‘Yeah, I remember you. I was trying to get into your car.’ I was going to give him the car. Take the car!” Maxwell said.
